Welcome to THE first Healthway SunSmart Inter-Regional Tournament
From Little Things Big Things Grow. The Esperance Soccer Association believes that this year’s tournament will be the humble beginnings of something that will grow into a significant event for soccer associations in the Albany, Kalgoorlie and Esperance regions. We have taken a massive leap of faith to run our first tournament, so that we can quickly learn from the experience and build on it.
As well as local Esperance rivals, teams from Kalgoorlie will be travelling to the tournament to test their ability in men’s, women’s and junior football.
First and foremost, the aim of the tournament is to enjoy the soccer and the social opportunities that the tournament provides. We all want to see competitive games, but we also want to see smiles, friendship and sportsmanship.
As the Esperance Soccer Association President I would like to thank the Shire of Esperance and all of our sponsors who’s logos are on these fixtures. Without your assistance and support, this tournament would not have been possible. Also, the Esperance Soccer Association committee, tournament sub-committee and volunteers, thank you for taking on such a huge task, just a week before our season kicks off. We are also lucky to have Chris Adams from Football West supporting our tournament. Chris is running two skills clinics on Saturday and a grassroots-coaching clinic on Monday. The support of Chris and Football West is greatly appreciated.
We have some amazing food on offer from our new food van and the bar will be open from 4.00pm to 10.00pm Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday night we have some live music, and we hope that you stay behind to enjoy the entertainment. For the kids we have a soccer games night on Saturday night in the shed which promises to be a whole lot of fun.
Good luck to all of the competitors. Play hard, but fair and always respect the decision of match officials. Have a great Healthway SunSmart Inter-Regional Tournament!
